Hawai’i Pacific University's
Taiwan Merit Scholarship program offers scholarship awards to Taiwanese students
who have demonstrated a superior record of academic achievement and who are
committed to making a positive contribution to Taiwan in the future.
目的：該獎學金旨在協助台灣的優秀青年至美國夏威夷太平洋大學留學進修，並協助建立美國夏威夷州與台灣間之文化交流之橋樑。
The purpose of the scholarship
program is to assist outstanding scholars to study abroad at Hawai’i Pacific
University in Hawaii, USA and to help build cultural bridges between Hawai’i
and Taiwan.
內容：該獎學金提供申請大學部之同學申請，獎學金之金額可支付25%之HPU大學部學費共四年，平均每年提供約新台幣85,000(或四年約新台幣341,000)。2006年將提供二位獎學金名額，一為2006年春季班，申請期限為2005年9月15日；一為2006年秋季班，申請期限為2006年4月15日。
The scholarships are available
for undergraduate study, and cover 25% of tuition for up to 4 years of undergraduate
study. The value of the award is approximately NTD 85,500 per year (or NTD
341,000 for 4 years of study). One scholarship is available for students enrolling
in the Spring 2006 semester, with an application deadline of 15 September
2005. One scholarship is available for Fall 2006, with an application deadline
of 15 April 2006.
申請學生須將填妥之申請表寄至HPU台灣招生中心。符合申請資格者將收到一份由HPU台灣招生中心所寄出之個人面試通知。申請資格與其他相關訊息請上HPU台灣招生中心網站查詢，網址為www.hputaiwan.info。
To apply, students must
submit a complete application to the Taiwan Advising Center. Qualified applicants
will receive a personal interview and endorsement from the Taiwan Advising
Center. Application requirements and additional information are available
